About Me
My love for art started from a young age. When I was a kid, I used to make awesome drawings, and I also won some little prizes during the high school.
That love for art and design helped me to pave a career path in interior design, especially after graduating from Faculty of Fine Arts in Egypt with a bachelor’s degree in interior architecture.
In order to sharpen my skills, I earned my Master of Science in Construction Project Management from University of Heriot Watt, UK.
Nowadays, my role as an interior designer has become more managerial, with less time to do designs. For this reason, my passion for art and design has found a new outlet in photography.
In fact, I’m addicted to travel and photography.
Photography is a mode of understanding, feeling, and expression. The moments we capture with our shutter can be frozen, and our feelings from that moment can find permanent form. It helps us to store our priceless memories and recall the happiest moments long time after we may have forgotten everything else.
Furthermore, travelling leaves marks on my heart, and memories in my mind; it helps me to enrich my soul and reform my personality.
I have been lucky to have visited several countries all over the world throughout my life such as USA, Italy, Germany, England, Scotland, Turkey, Lebanon, United Arab of Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, India, China, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
What is KHAMES Means?
People often ask me: where does the name Khames comes from? In fact, it’s an Arabian name that refers to the 5th day of the week, “Thursday.” It is commonly used in the Middle East and Egypt, where I was born and spent most of my life.

KHAMES.COM has started off on 2008 as a personal portfolio to present my interior design ideas and sketches to clients in a professional way.
In 2021 KHAMES.COM went from a personal portfolio to an online shop: doing web designs and selling custom artworks, and photography. That makes me feel empowered and connected to the design world, and it encourages me to be more curious and dream of new adventures.
The KHAMES.COM blog includes different posts about interior design, travel and photography. If you are interested in any of those areas, I hope you can find some useful topics.
